I did a little research and found this great article that explains why your feet hurt:
http://www.canadafreepress.com/medical/orthopedics060991.htm
It’s written by a doctor who explains how inappropriate shoes conspire with gravity to cause a lot of trouble for women’s feet.

Hate to admit it but I think my feet are hurting because I’ve gained weight over time. We don’t think about it, do we? But most people get heavier and the metabolism slows down, especially after menopause. I think losing 20 pounds might make the feet happier.
This is weird. ever since highschool i have worn size 7 shoes. but then a few years ago it seemed i needed to move up to 7 1/5. it just thought it was the shoes, like clothes the sizes arent always right. but now i am wearing size 8. this just doesnt make sense to me, i stopped growing when i was 16. do the feet just keep growing on their own? when does it stop? i dont see a lot of people with size 20 shoes but if this keeps up thats where i’ll be. help!
I am almost 24 years old. I stand five foot eight inches tall. I wear almot a 10.5 in men’s shoes and almost a 12 in women’s shoes. I swear that me feet grow about one full size a year. I pray that it stops because I already have problems finding shoes. At least you only wear an 8 in women, girl.
